Kerry Pinkham

Kerry has been practicing Yoga and Ayurveda since 2017. Originally, it was dance that connected Kerry to movement. While in college, as a Therapeutic Recreation major, Kerry also discovered the enjoyment of creating experiences for people. She continues to look for ways create experiences for people with varying backgrounds, experiences that helps individuals tap into their authentic self and the community around them. Fast forward through real life where Kerry has spent over 20 years working in business, she became a Yoga Instructor (Completed Hot Power Yoga Centers 200 hour program) to reconnect with herself and that passion for bringing meaningful experiences to individuals wherever they may be on their path. Kerry loves designing the yoga flows of movement that feel good in the body and encouraging the practitioners to arrive as they are and flow in their own way. More recently, Kerry completed a 650 hour certification program to become an Ayurvedic Health Consultant. Ayurveda, the world’s oldest medical system, connects an individual to the natural paths towards finding balance in the body, mind, sense and soul. Through Ayurvedic practices and Yogic philosophies, Kerry continues to evolve her approach towards balance, and aims to do the same those seeking holistic living.

Hot Power Vinyasa All Levels
The word Vinyasa means “linking breath to movement.” Our Vinyasa yoga classes are creative and teachers take students on a journey where the poses are found through breath. Vinyasa yoga is sometimes referred to as flow yoga since students flow from pose to pose in this style of class. In this vigorous flow students will be led through Sun Salutations, side bends, heart openers, backbends, hip openers, inversions, arm balances, standing poses, forward folds, core, twists and a floor sequence. Our classes are the perfect blend of all ways of stretching including a heavy focus on biomechanics and strength. We incorporate active and passive stretching, resistance variations of stretching, and use of props to add load or to modify. These classes are for all levels. We offer a ton of modifications for all levels, so that each student can find the right variation of the pose that suits their unique needs.

Introduction to Ayurveda
Ayurveda means “Knowledge of Life”. This workshop will introduce you to the foundational concepts of Ayurveda’s ancient wisdom and their role in your lived experience. Perhaps you are seeking a way to live in more balance generally, or you routinely encounter symptoms of discomfort, physically or mentally. Experiences of imbalance or more specifically digestion, sleep, aches & pains, weight management, stress, anxiety, lethargy and more are typically rooted in our day-to-day practices.
Ayurveda brings balance to imbalance and this Introduction to Ayurveda workshop will help to illustrate where your individual constitution combined with your food and lifestyle practices may be throwing you off balance. Ayurveda is a vast system of knowledge which is the basis for one of the world’s oldest medical systems and remains one of India’s traditional health care systems. Although vast, Ayurveda can be quite simple and provide insight to an individual to intuitively balance their body, mind, senses, and soul.
Kerry will provide handouts for all the information she will be sharing during the workshop, this is a lecture style workshop.
